DOOR OPEN ALARM

In any building with door entry or access control systems some people have a habit of never closing doors behind them, this creates a security risk.

With the Alarmfix door open alarm a contact on the door triggers a timer circuit when the door is opened, if the door is closed within the preset time period no alarm will sound but if the time period is exceeded an alarm will be sounded the alarm will sound for the period set or until the door is closed.. The unit is fitted with an override key switch to enable the door to be held open as required.

DOOR INTERLOCKING

When trying to protect a building, many rooms within that building require an extra level of protection. These rooms may be sensitive because they are cash rooms or that they hold information or data that is of a sensitive nature. Access to these rooms must be as secure as possible so that entry is only gained by personnel when authorised by a central controller.

The door interlock from Alarmfix meets the requirement for entrance control in high security areas that are susceptible to theft, sabotage or industrial espionage. The user is granted access in three stages using the fully automated system. Firstly, the user is identified outside the main door. The door opens and they pass into holding area. The main door locks and the entrant can be examined again in the holding area for weapons. Finally, when the controller is satisfied with the identity and the motive of the entrant, the entrant may be granted access to the secure section.

The system ensures that only one door is unlocked at a time except in an emergency an interface is fitted as standard to release on fire alarm activation. This method removes the possibility of human error by guaranteeing that when access is granted to the sensitive room, all other points of access remain locked.
